Fees & Payments

TaxBridge’s Lawyer Fees & Payments policy explains quotation pricing, platform commission, payment gateway fees, VAT & TDS, escrow protection, wallet payouts, and withdrawal procedures for lawyers.

TaxBridge connects verified taxpayers with independent lawyers for tax advisory and filing services. This page explains how quotations are priced, what fees apply, and how payments move between taxpayers, lawyers, and TaxBridge.

  1. Quotation Pricing
Lawyers set their own quotation price for each service request based on the scope of work described by the taxpayer. TaxBridge does not fix or suggest lawyer fees — pricing is agreed between the taxpayer and the lawyer at the time the quotation is accepted.

  1. Platform Commission
TaxBridge charges a commission on completed services to cover platform operation, escrow protection, dispute resolution, and support. The current commission rate is 10% of the accepted quotation amount, deducted from the lawyer's payout at the time of release.

  • Commission is only charged on completed and released payments — not on quotations that are cancelled or refunded in full.

  • The applicable rate at the time of each transaction is shown in the lawyer's earnings breakdown.

  1. Payment Gateway Fee
A gateway processing fee of 2% applies to payments made through third-party payment gateways (mobile banking, cards, bank transfer), to cover the charges levied by those providers. This fee is separate from the platform commission and is shown as a distinct line item on the transaction invoice.

  1. VAT & TDS
Where applicable under Bangladeshi tax law, TaxBridge applies VAT and TDS to platform earnings:

  • VAT: currently 15%, applied to the platform's commission/service charge.

  • TDS: currently 10%, deducted at source where required and reflected in the lawyer's payout statement.
These rates are set and periodically reviewed by TaxBridge in line with current NBR regulations.

  1. Escrow Protection
When a taxpayer accepts a quotation and makes payment, the amount is held in escrow rather than paid directly to the lawyer. Funds are only released to the lawyer's wallet once the agreed service is marked complete, protecting both parties from incomplete or undelivered work.

  1. Wallet & Withdrawals
Released payments (after commission, gateway fee, and applicable tax deductions) are credited to the lawyer's TaxBridge wallet. Lawyers can request a withdrawal from Dashboard → Finance → Withdrawals to their registered bank or mobile banking account.

  • Withdrawal requests are reviewed and processed by the TaxBridge finance team.

  • Processing times may vary depending on the payout method selected.

  1. Payment Timeline
Typical flow: quotation accepted → taxpayer payment held in escrow → service delivered and confirmed → funds released to lawyer wallet (minus commission, gateway fee, VAT/TDS) → lawyer withdraws to their bank/mobile account.

  1. Fee Changes
TaxBridge may revise commission, gateway fee, VAT, or TDS rates from time to time to reflect operating costs or regulatory changes. Any rate change will apply to new transactions going forward and will be reflected in this page and in the lawyer earnings dashboard.
